Here we are asking the program to find all instances of 'apitropos' within any Rashi (Dibbur HaMaskil or Commentary) anywhere in Shas Bavli. Because the Rashi commentary is usually short, the entire Dibbur HaMaskil and commentary is presented with the search string highlighted

Similar to the previous example, we are asking the program to find all instances of the search string within any Tosfos (Dibbur HaMaskil or Commentary) anywhere in Shas Bavli. Because the Tosfos commentary is usually short (at least compared to the blatt), the entire Dibbur HaMaskil and commentary is presented with the search string highlighted.

Demonstrating a longer search string.

It may be recalled that there was an incident in the Talmud where Rav Huna was teaching a shiur with 13 meturgamin and 800 students. When the students rose after the shiur and shook our their cloaks, the dust was so great that it obscured the sun… even in Eretz Yisroel.
Now suppose we want to find the location of that story. We know it involved Rav Huna and dust but we may not remember enough words to make the search efficient. By this command, we are asking the program to find all instances in the blatt where we have the name Huna and the word for dust and they occur within 30 words of each other. A match was found in Masechta Kesubos on daf 106a 38.9% of the way down the page!

Here we wish to search throughout Tanach to find mention of "mikdash". We can indicate the spelling via "Reverse English" as mqdS or use actual Hebrew letters מקדש. 22lookup then shows that the word מקדש appears (either by itself or contained within a longer word) 97 times; some times in Chumash, sometimes in Navi, and sometimes in Kesuvim.

With this command, we confine our search to the commentaries of the Rif. We find that the Rif uses the word חושש either by itself or contained in longer words (as long as the string is comsecutive, 70 times.

Relative to the Rosh, 22lookup currently uses two indexing schemes at the same time: daf and perek. Therefore the counting system may be flawed. Ultimately one index will be adopted and the count will become normalized. For now we can see the many times that the Rosh uses the word ירושלמי.

Referring to Mitzvah Min HaMuvchar, the Ritva employs the phrase 17 times.

Searching the entire Tur for Tzitzis, (xyxyT because 'x' is a ו in Reverse English), we find he mentions it 78 times. Looking at the left edge of the above sliding table, we see a references to TOC and TYD meaning Tur Orach Chaim and Tur Yoreh Deah obviously.
